Dear Caring Champion:

 

There is a lot of discussion happening now about the economy, the big systems: political, educational, healthcare, labor, housing and even religion. But did you know that in the midst of all the chatter, America  is experiencing:

 

• An “unprecedented rise in homelessness?”

• A job market is slowing and if the world’s workforce was made up of 100 people, 59 would need training by 2030?”

• A substantial increase in the prices of essential goods and services, to such an extent that individuals from working-class and lower-income backgrounds face considerable challenges in affording basic necessities for themselves and their families?    

• A rise in the rate of mental health disorders and substance abuse—Note for instance that   “according to the National Institute of Mental Health, over 59 million adults experienced a mental illness in 2022;” and that research shows that the percentage of people 12 or older with a drug use disorder increased from 8.7% in 2021 to 9.8% in 2024?

 

Given this data and the fact that we understand that more than half of America’s families are struggling to simply thrive, we’ve created Hope Whole Life Services, an Internal Revenue Services designated 501c3 organization; whose mission is “To empower children, families, and individuals who are under-resourced for any reason to achieve sustainable independence and consistent mental, emotional, and physical well-being.”

 

We believe that by working directly with the children, families, individuals and communities we serve, we empower them. We also believe that by providing those we serve with a full suite of whole life, adaptive, wrap-around services, we equip them with the tools they need to establish and sustain new capacities for growth and independence. Our services include:

 

• Leadership, Life and Parent Coaching

• Mentoring

• Mental Health Intensives Outpatient Services

• Health and Wellness Coaching

• Case Management

• Out Patient Therapy

• Community/Behavioral Health Services

 

Through our work as individual providers, Hope Whole Life Services associates have helped people and communities to experience real and positive transformation. We have helped to stabilize families and communities. We have stood with our clients in amazement as they begin to imagine and reach for new futures. But we cannot continue our work alone. We need your support and partnership. With your help we can continue delivering these life-changing, and perhaps life-saving, services and expand access for those who need us most. So, with this letter we humbly invite you to join us by making a tax-deductible gift today.

 

The demand for services is growing and in fact, research says there are currently not enough resources to meet that growing need. That’s why we, you and I, must rise to create and give more resources to those vulnerable populations who we are, in fact, inextricably bound to as members of the collective human society. In other words, we share this experience as human kin, which means we truly bear responsibility for one another.  We do not have the luxury of turning away as if people aren’t really suffering; while engaging in long conversations about what should be done, as our brothers and sisters are slowly smothered by the weight of unnecessary social ills.

 

Instead, we must tap into our goodness and serve. The Emperor, Marcus Aurelius, said, “Waste no more time arguing what a good man should be. Be one.” It is our hope that you will follow the emperor’s words, take advantage of this opportunity to express your goodness and join us in our efforts to ensure that all children, families, individuals and communities have the resources, skills, and support systems they need to live whole, healthy, and productive lives.
